Quick question.....
Ive had one demasoni already hold and I stripped her and the fry are in a grow out tank. Now I have another one in the main tank that I presumed was a male but the other day her throat was swollen and it looked like the fish was holding. The bulge in the throat is no where near as dramatic as the first fish that bred in my tank. So ive been on the fence as to whether this fish was in fact holding or not. Then tonight I saw the fish spit out what looked like an egg and sucked it right back into her mouth. It was just what looked like one large egg when the picture I had in my mind was that there would be many small eggs. Is that how it should be? Is this fish holding or not?
