demasoni !!!!

so i finally got my 3 beautiful demasoni they are 1/2" big .... does any one have and tips or suggestions for new demasoni owners ????

Hi read somewhere that they should be in a school of at least twelve I think it was. Supposed to help keep the aggression and stress down. I think they are a good looking fish though.

What size tank are you keeping them in?

get 9+ more, they are aggressive and the dominant demasoni will kill off the others unless there are sufficient numbers to distribute the aggression...

a 30 gallon tank so i dont know how many i can actually put in there

They are extremely aggressive, put lots of rocks and get at least a couple more.

even other kinds of mbunas help in distributing aggression. nice pickup.

Ha Ha I had a customer come in to my LFS and say "what can I put in with my Demasoni that he won't kill" so I sold them a red terror. customer called me the next day saying "well the Demasoni didn't kill the red terror but the red terror killed the Demasoni". thank god the customer wasn't mad so I refunded the red terror and we started there tank over with some new SA's.

either 1 or 5 but it maybe to small for five.
