How aggressive might a pair be during spawn time?

I have a Male now, who is housed with a mix of smaller cichlids (Pearl HRP, 4x Multispinosa's and a SB Bonsai Fader FH) and an Irwini, Poly Lapradei and some yoyo loaches.
I was chatting with Rapps and he's got a nice female he can get me.

This Dempsey is a real easy going fish. I know things change when they breed, but are they like convicts/neets nasty? or are they still a little easier going.

For Spawning do like they sandy bottom, with some slate in a corner? Or are they more flower pot type?

If you have a 100 gal or larger, your other fish may just be pushed to the opposite end of the tank. If the tank is smaller, the other fish may all be killed.

+1 jacks are very protecting and aggressive during spwaning time, sometimes you'll have to have a separte tank for them so they won't go around bullying the other tankmates.
Slate or flower pot will work for them, I think they are more of the flower pot type. yes they can be very aggressive when breeding.

+ 1 my JDs defend half of a hundred from a jag and butti. They don't mess around lol

its a 110. Well seeing as the other tank mates are all non threats, both in attitude and size I hope it works, minus the SB FH who I'm going to sell.
