I have had a male jack for a little over a year now and he has breed and done fine in a 30 gal for about 11 months of the year. During the majority of the year he spent most of his time in a cave rarely coming out until it was feeding time. I have just put him into a 125 gal about 2 months ago and have seen little or no growth (depending on the light and how flared he his), do you guys believe that his growth has been stunted or am I just being a little too anxious waiting for growth. I got him about 1.5-2 inches and he is now about 5.5-6 inches.

Shoosh you, you see him almost every night... and of course you have a camera cause ur asian.
He looks good to me. My male has been in a 125 gallon tank or bigger his whole life and isn't much bigger than that, and the tank was not overstocked. He is about 2 years old now and has always been healthy and kept in great water conditions and fed well. I really dont know how people get those huge monster dempseys, but i think they are ugly when they get that big anyways. I dunno if he is stunted but he looks good to me.
Aren't they also just naturally slow growers??
I've had my JD's since October/November 08, and my Albino Oscars since...either late December or January this year and my Oscars have grown sooo quickly. They started the same size as the JD's and are now far bigger.
