dempseys still wont breed

well, its mainly the female. the male is ready, but the female gets ready and then stops. them the male beats her up.

how can i get them to breed? i bumped up the temp and been conditioning them, but nothing else works

keep the tank seperrated but make sure thay can still see eachother. when they start swimming with eachother, with the divider in between, take away the divider.

agreed. put in a egg crate divider.
if the female isnt ready feed heavily with frozen or live foods. earthworms, bloodworms, krill, mysis shrimp for 2 weeks should do the trick.

Like ewok said, feed heavily with live/frozen foods and do a couple big water changes. That should do the trick.

Have a divider that allows for chemical communication between the fish. So they get the fell of eachother. Like an egg crate as described above.
