Depressed lovebird??

I have a depressed lovebird.She shakes when I pet her and she is always running away from me when I try to put her back in hers cage.A lot of the time she is just standing on one of her food bowls.The cage is HUGE big enough for about 10-15 lovebirds.There are no cage mates and I try to spend time with her as much as I can(about 30 mins a day) I also sleep next to her because she is in my room.I also clipped her wings at 9 months old about a 30-45 days ago, she never flies more than a couple feet to go back to her cage when I try to hold her.When will she start flying again??Today she got her toe stuck between where two of the cage walls connect and I had to help her out.It doesn't look like her toe is broken but she keeps biting her feet, toes, and nails.What do I do?!?!?!?:cry:
 
I'd likely be depressed too if someone wanted to keep me in a cage...probably shiver at the thought of it too...Alright joking aside,why not get your bird some company or maybe a mate,did you ever have more than one?
 
30 minutes a day is not enough. You need to pay way more attention to that bird or get it a playmate. How old is your bird? It may take some time to get used to you. If it keeps biting and fussing with its foot you should get it looked at.

She is a little over 10 months old. I don't think I can get her a mate because I already tried that and asked my dad. She isn't messing with her feet anymore. Prob just experimenting after getting stuck. I will try to sped more time with her but when I pet her she shakes and I don't think she even likes me around. Should I keep her in her cage more often, lots of times she is just out of her cage while I am at school.
 
I'm no expert on birds at all but I'm guessing that a love bird needs a mate , try getting amr love bird seeing as your cage is big enough see if she cheers up :D;)

I live with my parents and I have tried to convince them to let me get her a mate but that is out of the question.I think she is warming up too me a little more though.
