detention?

At my school if you don't get an A on homework avrage is all your classes exapt 2 classes you have to sit in a room for 90 minites and do work(class is 1000000 times better beacase in the work room you were silent and do indipendant work and can't talk) but if you achive it you get to watch a movie during class... I am really angry at my school beacause you get detention for not being an A student... I know they do it so kids are motavated but i think my school went WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY to far... so if you are not an A student you get 90 mins of detention, I just can't understand it... every quarter of school there is a new thing but detantion for not doing it, :irked:!!!!

Perhaps the class or classes your lacking in are Grammar and Spelling...Due to the lack of your grammatical and spelling skills in your post. Perhaps learning in your additional time at school instead of complaining about it would be time better sent...

Simple answer- work harder. Then you don't have to complain.
 
Even more simple answer.... Dont go.... When i was in hs and got a detention if u went to the first one but didnt go to the 2nd one then u would get in trouble... So i jus didnt go all together... They never saod a thibg.... Although my detentions were a lil more serious then oo u didbt go good enough on the test or whatever. But still

detention is being "detained" after school as a form of punishment. You are not being detained, the kids who are on top of their work are simply being rewarded.

The reason i was not happy was beacause you were punished if you didn't get the A. I am fine if kids who get As get rewarded but when i have to do mindless work for 90 mins instead of class witch is 10000000 times better i don't like it. I didn't evn learn in the work room. it was just asinments, no teaching involved. Just sit and hurt your brain and waste 90 mins of your life... thats what it is...
