Determination can be a bad thing

Today I learned that it's not a good idea to keep decorations in the tank that are too small for your flowerhorn to fit in because he will force himself in through the hole then patiently wait for you to come get him out. As I was trying to show him the best hole to go thru he thought he'd try to force is way out. After 10 mins of showing him he finally tried my way. After that didn't work I said forget it and just sawed thru the log and cracked it open for him

Hard headed? Guessing you mean his hump composition? He is the first big thai silk ive seen, im not right into my fh but appreciate a nice one. He has a nice shape.

no lol his hump is like jelly very weird feeling. by hard headed i meant like he wants to do what he wants theres no stopping him such as him getting stuck in the log. he wouldnt comprehend that if he had a hard time getting in its going to be even harder to get out. like he was being hard headed still trying to fit in the log when he couldnt to begin with
