Determining bichir gender

cool! My boyfriend and I got a matched set of polypterus ornatus, and I was wondering how we might figure out if they were by any chance a pair- nice pictures!

Yes all polypterids are sexed this way.However they do need to be 7''+ for this to be accurate-Anne
