What do you do to keep crud out of your sump? I have cleaned it out of course but not sure how it all gets down there.

p.s there is a thread in the saltwater section exactly like this buut this is for freshwater folk

hmm can a clown loach survibe in the sump off of the detridus

rosies and lots of ghost shrimp if you can get em cheap. i started with like 25 in the bottom of my wet dry and ended with well over 100 after like a year. it was nuts, and made a good snack if any got past the sponge

they dont get sucked into your pump

I think thats where the made a good snack comment comes into play, sounds like they get sucked up and shot into the tank as a random treat for some lucky fish.

I can see it now my little oscar minding his own business and a ghost shrimp slams into him out of no where, he looks up and thinks there is a God.

ohh i thought they could clog the pump

k im going to go get some shrimp tommorow and there only food source is going to be the detridus in the sump and a once in every 2 weeks algae wafer

can i throw a couple of guppys down there
