I'm currently deworming my arowanas, more for prevention.
I'm using Azoo Anti endoparasite, its instruction is to dose 10 ML pero 25 gallons.
Active ingredients is Mebendazole/Metronidazole.
Just wondering if ity'll be ok to soak food with it and feed to my arowanas?
I injected it into some superworms and fed it to my arowana, just wondering if this will also be effective?

Im de-worming my puffer using similar stuff...

I basically get a cup and defrost frozen shrimp or whatever in the cup with just tank water and about 4 doses of meds and let it soak...

After about 4 hours i feed it to my fish and it seems to be working coz shes been pooping a lot of 4-8" long worms

Now as for your method of injecting it straight into the food i'd be careful to not go overboard... Coz if its a full dose you dont know how your fish will react to the meds once ingested...

One dose is definitely not enough IF your fish does have parasites...

Im now 10 days into deworming my puffer with 4 more days to go... So 2 weeks total...

But if your doing it just to be safe... Use one dose then monitor your aro for a day or two and see if there are any parasites being pooped out... If there are non... Then you might be okay with just one or two doses...

Thanks, Will repeat dose tonight and observe if there are worms in th poop :)

Sounds good to me... Nothing worst than dealing with parasites in your main tank...

The main thing you have to do is soak the food in the medication. Since fish cannot absorb IP medication through their skin/scales, the meds must make it into their digestive system. Soaking the food is the best way to do this and I would def not recommend injecting it. 1 dose will for sure not be enough, I would say MINIMUM 2 week treatment.

thanks :) So far have not noticed any worms come out oof my Arowana :)

Question... How do you know if your fish have worms... ??
Is this a standard procedure for fish???
Should all aquarium fish be de-wormed when you get them.??
