my 3 fire eels have finally settled down and get along with eachother well. well as well as a wolf pack might. The last 24 hours have been interesting I noticed some perculiar movements out of my largest eel today. the thrashing some other have reported. and I've been watching them all night. it's much like flashing but he'll also curl oddly. and i first started paying attention because he was pooping oddly and I thought worms. I'm sure because they are a bottom dweller in nature and the type of debris and food habits they entertain would make them very suseptiable to internal parasites. I'm starting to think he's behaveing like a horse with colic. and the worms are causeing the likely internal cramping. I've never treated a scaleless fish of this nature with Jungle labs de-wormer but have used it on other fish. Is it safe? or are their better alternatives? I'de hate to lose a fish over an overdose. and I'm not sure waiting it out is the best option either. He did eat along with the other 2 just fine tonight. which is when I noticed the poop issue. I plan on treating the other 2 eels as well, and my O in the tank. I'm just not sure as to what doseing is best. I don't want to underdose and not kill any parasistes, but to OD on such a sensitive fish =/ I don't want to kill my babies. Was gonna post this in the disease section, but I want advise from people with fire eels that have done it. not "what should work".
