Wondering if any of you deworm your Flowerhorns on a regular basis, or only if you see a sign of a parasitic infection? If this is something I should be doing regularly, I don't want to find out when it's too late.
Tks,

They are treared when they get sick buddy dont get it so complicated yourself, in the measure you dont feed them life feeders i dont see much of a problem with parasites.

Cheers.

It seems many people are deworming them anyway just because FH's are so weak genetically. I wouldn't medicate unless something wrong was going on.

If Ur worried about parisites and stuff check its poop....often and fast the fish once a month to clense diggestion track.....just a thought

Nematodes (worms) are generally found in FH that have been imported from SE Asia due to the quality of live feed they are fed.

While some FH sites advocate the constant deworming of fish, once a fish has been properly dewormed there is generally no reason to deworm again, unless you are feeding live food. (that may contain worms) More info on treatment for nematodes in the link below.

BTW - intestinal worms can be present in the intestinal tract of a fish, without showing up in the fishes feces. Do not confuse internal parasites such as hexamita/spironucleus with nematodes.
