DI + blackwater extract?

If i use just pure DI water and use supplement Blackwater extract:

Would this be ideal to hit the 7.0 range of fish to be kept in it?

no, black water extract is for low pH

If I'm not mistaken, DI water will probably have a pH slighly lower than 7. Since these blackwater extracts contain tannic and humic acids, they can potentially lower the pH further. However, given the amount that you are likely to use, I doubt that you will see much, if any, further decrease in pH. I use both Instant Amazon and Kent Blackwater Expert to "age" my dechlorinated municipal water at a rate of approx. 1 tsp per 10 gallons of water and I don't see any drop in pH.
