I would not think so. This is a fish from the still waters of Amazon, preferring low pH and hardness. But I have no first hand experience with it. None of my readings mention that it can tolerate or that it is intolerant of low end brackish water. So, to me, it means it should not be subjected to it.

Yea that's what all my research has shown, pretty much nothing. Lol
I think I'll do an experiment and slowly acclimate them to that sanity over a few months and see how they fare. Maybe they'll do fine and I'll have added something new to the hobby...

Let's see what you and we learn. If you are just getting them, I'm sure you now they can be quite sensitive at first, so they require a very careful and slow introduction and acclimatization. Once settled, they are rather hardy.
