Are you sure its not a she? The vent looks female to me. Usually its the females who get the rapid head growth right before spawning occurs.

oh god.............here we go again. lol we sexed them on a couple other threads. i believe tica is male, and angel is female. according to the vents.

when the tube is rounded from the front its female, when its rounded from the back its male. Thats a female....I'm not 100% but from the pic you provided here im quite positive its a girl. Take a good pic and pm it to me from different angles. Sometimes its hard to tell especially if spawning is going to occur where sometime the males organ will extend out a little but nothing like the tube that extends out of the female. Either way man something is about to happen in your tank with your group. If you do 30-35% waterchanges every other day it will speed the process then you'll know for sure what you have. If you see the tube come out you have your female. Goodluck
