Did I cook them?

I bought ghost shrimp a 2 days ago and then today i came home and found them like this.

Ya... Good thing they are cheap... What temperature is the tank they are in??? I do not see any other reason why they would die so suddenly...

All dead ghost shrimp look like that at no matter what temp. (At the shop we keep them at 65)

I bought them to see if they would survive in my con tank to keep the plants clean. My original plan was crystal red shrimp but wasnt willing to buy them without testing my theory.

if you had cooked them your fish would of been cooked as well.....looks like they just died.

A chemical reaction in Shrimp causes them to turn orange when they die, I believe.

Do you use chiller to keep them they survived in the cold temp

Do you mean convicts,I would think they would go after any type of small shrimp you put in with them.

despite what a lot of people think/experience shrimp are delicate creatures..... nitrates over 40 can and will kill them.. exposure to copper and other heavy metals.. ect... more touchy then snails.. and if they wheren't cared for at the lfs they may have been "dead" before they left the lfs.
