i got a jardini for $30 he is 3" and eating well did i git a good deal on him?
 
great deal, cheapest i can get em is 50$ for a 3".
 
thats a great deal!...Jardini's down here cost anywhere between $50-75 nowdays...i got mine for $44 :D ...also, Leichardti's go for $299!!!! here...so Jars seem like a really great deal.

Not much of a great deal IMO.

They tend to die easy with that size.

If you know the right people, you can get them for 30bucks at 5-7inches.

Not IMO experience....I've owned a few arrow's in my time and started all from egg sack....only one died and it was cause it jumpped out the tank. I think if you know what your doing and baby it, not spoil your fish. Give a varied diet and the porpper setting, pristine water conditions etc, you'll be fine.Also, when you have them from that age they trust you alot more and will let you pet them if trained right.

Who cares what market value dictates and others think. If he is healthy and eating well...you should be proud of that in itself. Ask yourself if you got a great deal, expectations can suck. With every fish purchase comes the eventual "did I just get screwed?" question.
