Been into fishies for a few years now, but the largest tank I ever had was a 75 until recently. I absolutely adore my Clown Loaches and would really like to have some big Datnoids.
I have my 220 all set up and running with 3 small IT Dats swimming around happily, and my 75 has 8 Clowns (biggest is 5-6") who enjoy schooling with their congo tetra tankmates.
I guess I'm starting to feel bad for Clowns having to leave their current home with the friends they've made growing up and putting them into a tank with some smaller, less aggressive predators... but still predators.
Also there isn't much else there seems that would make sense as far as large oddball fish that could go in with the Datnoids AND Clowns. I would love to get a Tigrinus Cat, and other large fish. But I'm only allowed one tank over 100 gallons lol and no way am I going to try to keep my Clowns in the 75 forever.
Sorry if this makes no sense or should be posted elsewhere, I'm just rather sick to the stomach thinking of moving the Dats away from friends... and the possibility of not having Dats lol.
