Well, due to size constraints, I went with some nice Dwarf German Rams, (No Monster by any means) and I was wondering what would work with them? Angels? Apistos? and thoughts? Any solid suggestions? Stayed away from the Heckeli and or Geyai (Bandits) since I have a 75 only...

Thanks in advance?

Not many fish like the elevated temps that blue rams prefer and seem to do the best in. Green Neons, Cardinals, Rummynose and Lemon tetras are some of the few off the top of my head. Green Neons I believe are found with them in the wild. A lot of plants don't appreciate those 84F+ temps either. Way two warm for most apistos, but there are two that come from the same waters. A. hongsloi is one if I remember right, I'd have to dig out my books to local the other. I want to say I think, but don't trust it enough without looking it up, that it is A. hoignei.

Rams seems like a good choice for the tank, small enough, lots of color.
If it were my tank, instead of another cichlid, I'd get some dithers, like a group Hatchet fish for the surface, and a shoal pencil fish for midwater, leaving the floor space to the Rams (These species also share the waters in nature).
Maybe plant heavily, and use leaf litter.
Just before moving I kept a 75 with one pair of Amatitlania myrnae, and swordtails (X mayae)as dithers, was a very animated tank.

If you choose Apistogramma I would go with Duane's suggestion adding dithers.
Personally have 2 Apistogramma with a group of Browntail Pencilfish and they get along great. Apistogramma do dwell at the bottom most of the time and will take territory and defend it from Rams. Plants most definitely would be the way to go to break line of site.
