I have this 8" NTT that is perfect. It's 100% stable and eats like a champ.

The deal is it has been acting strange this past 3 days. Strange in a good way.

Here's what has happened. Three days ago, my NTT started acting funny. What I mean by funny is that it almost always swim vertically with its head on top. Its like its almost doing a pirouette. What it does is that it starts from the bottom of the tank, "stands" vertically, swims towards the top of the water level and does a 360 like a ferris wheel. If it feels like it, it does it again and again and again and again. I think it has developed an affinity to the back stroke.

When it does the the circling thing, it doesn't care which fish it bumps into. It can bump in to my 14" ST or the 13" kelberi and it still keeps on going.

It hasn't lost its buoyancy and its not blind either. It just became extra playful. All my other datnoids are fine as well as my other fish. I don't know what my water parameters are either and I'm not gonna buy a test kit anytime soon. I haven't used one in 2.5 years.

So what do you guys think? Extra playful or got something going on with him?

I have a feeeling he is sick. When did this happen? I had one before doing this, and it died after couple days. I would recoomend putting him in a quarantine tank before its too late.

Could u post a vid or paste a
link?
If it's eating I would not worry too much.

It is eating but I have a feeling it may have gone blind. I think its blind because it didn't pay notice to the net when I tried to net it and it bumps to the tank. I'll do a water change later tonight and then move it to my 40 gallon tank and observe it and probably dose the tank with Melafix.

Man this will suck... Its my third best favorite fish next to my ST...

i guess it is sick.... if it goes in circles alot of time plus he keeps on bumping other fishes like they are not there..... observe the fish also check its gills.....

Somethings not right....Ever see fish hit something hard with there face??? It will act just like that after impact or just sink to the bottom.

Dead... I got no time to mourn... too busy so its all good.

I always wanted a datniod

I can give you three if you like. They are all 7-8" and you won't have any spend any money on them 'coz they're always "stiff"
