ok my tank has been established for about 2 weeks now, i did a water test and so far im at
amonia .5ppm
nitrite .0ppm
nitrate .0ppm
ph 7.8

how are my levels doing, and my salt is 1.018

established for 2 weeks or set up for two weeks?
there's a big difference..

the ammonia tells me it's SET UP for two weeks.. there should be NONE in an established tank

alright..

is there any live rock in the tank?
what's your ammonia source

get some more rock when you can..

after 2 weeks there should be a nitrite spike already, which tells me you dont have enough of a bacterial colony

how big is the tank?
i think i have 80 pounds of sand in my 75... lol

sand and rock are two completely different things.
Stop adding sand and get more live rock.
You will need the bacteria to help break down nitrates.

yea i under stand that but i want to get allthe sand out of the way first, an it is a 90 gallon i am going for like a 2.5 to 3in base going to get some more rock this weekend every where areound me has crappy live rock, it is all real dense. got a buddy coming up from ri
