I have an android phone and when I opened up an email today from my friend. In my friend's email there was a weblinke that I clicked. When I clicked the link and went to the webpage my phone automatically download an application package. My phone wouldn't let me open the package since its not a google, so the application wasnt installed on my phone. Did my phone catch a trojan, virus, spyware? Please help me out MFKers I'm freaking out. I email my friend back and he told me my email caught a virus.

If the application did not execute, you should be good. Read the links before clicking on them! ;-)
Notify your friend and tell him to change the password to his email. He's been phished/spammed.

yeah, I just saw the link was from my friend and just thought it was something funny. Yeah the application package was definitely downloaded BUT NOT insalled or executed.
