So, I just got some food for my piranhas, not knowing it was floating food andI need it to sink. How can I get it to sink? I've tried soaking it in tank water for 10 minutes and nothing happened.

Thanks,
Stew

Squish them while soaked. If they're flakes, they're nothing but junk. Even presoaking makes them useless. The supposed vitamins in them will degrade easily. Granules or pellets are a much better choice than flakes.

they are pellets

What exactly did you get? All the pellets i've feed mine piranhas have been floating except for the massivore pellets.

Do your piranhas not rise up to eat them?

What kind n size of piranha? Rbp? If they'll eat pellets they'll eat them floating.lupin should read the headline n half the thread his ?? Is bout pellets not flakes. Flakes are for flakes not piranha.

Welcome back

I agree, mine will eat floating or sinking pellets, just give it time and they will take to it, just dont leave them in too long, if they dont take them remove them and try again later.

i put my pellets in a small bowl filled with water then use a spoon to squeeze them when they abosrb. works everytime
