my rtc got extremly full then ran into a point on my driftwood....its been a week , he acts perfectly fine. But there is a slit in his stomach with some of his intestines hanging out and when i feed hhim (he is eating perfectly fine) the food just comes right out the hole. Its extrememly sad it makes me sick thinking about it, he was just a lil guy. Its just a mater of time until he dies of starvation. I dont know what to do.

find some way to seal up that wound!

I would call around in your area for Reptile Vets, some Reptile Vets will also see fish. Or if you have any large aquriums or fish farms in your area, contact them and ask for a refence to a vet that is trained in the care of fish.

At one point i had seen an article online about the guildlines for a vet to treat a fish. I am searching but can't find it, but if you can find anything similar you can even take that with you to a reptile vet, to insure its being done properly as hes looked at and treated.

i hope he makes it

here is an article about a tiger shovelnose having a tumer removed.. it just takes a good vet

Edit: I just found this, which may be of help should you choose to pursue a vet.
