i just picked up a NTT that is about 7-8 inches. i was wondering what are some good prepared non-live foods i can feed it. Wat do all you NTT owners feeds your fish? I dont want to feed it feeders due to all the possible problems they can cause. thanks !:D

o man anything that bastard eats. its the most picky fish i have the only thing it will eat is live black worms and guppies

my small 3 incher will only eat earthworms and feeders. my 5 incher wont eat a thing! ive only seen him eat once and that was an earthworm. other than that he wont pick at anything, but he should come to his senses pretty soon ;) but yeah whatever they will eat cuz they are picky!!!

Try frozen krill of the biger size, in order that it looks live when gliding down in the water...mine took 1 week and love it.

Could also try mussel chopped to fine pieces, mine go crazy over it.

I agree...I use a lot of krill. If you put it in the flow of the filter return it makes the legs move and looks like it's swimming. As soon as it starts to move like that my NTTs nail it.

i feed mine krills just like how i feed my other fishes, the thing is that u need to let 'em know that u r feeding them. i starved them for a little while, then hand feed them krills. they only take maybe 1 or 2 a day at first, but after they're confortable, they'll start eat more and nip ur fingers whenever ur hand gets in the water. then slowly let 'em know to come to the surface for food. now i just drop krills on the surface of the water and they shoot up and eat like crazi

just offer it shrimp or prawn ever day and DONT GIVE IN

it may not eat what you want for up to one month but dont give in

i have a rule in my tank eat or die no matter how much the fish costs

i have never had a fish die from not eating and i just done this method with a $700 tigrinus cat

if you give in you will never get it feeding on what you want

mine eats anything that hits the water. krill, pellets, aro sticks, feeders, guppies, shrimp, smelt, smaller fish.

THANKS! i appreciate all the useful methods and advice. I shall get my NTT to eat OR DIE! haha

it works its the best method

with thin bars it normaly takes just over 3 weeks if they only eat live food

what i have also fond with most tigers is they dont like taking food from the ground so if it doesnt eat remove the food after a few mins if it doesnt eat
