Hi guys

I have six small angelfish in a 400L. I want to fatten them up! So far I have been feeding them jellied daphnia, bloodworms, flakes (twice a week) and mussles.

They get this once a day - like a different thing each day. Is this ok? Is this too much protein, because I heard that some fish can get kidney failure etc when they have too much protein.

Is anyone interested in making a thread on angelfish, their needs and food etc?

take flakes out of the diet i think thatll help =D

really? take the flakes out? and substitute with beefheart? will try it!

sounds good. post on how its working soon =]

With live California Blackworms you would see some fantastic growth. If they are not available to you, live or frozen bloodworms would be a distant second. If you want to use some dry food, I would ditch the flakes and try some Hikari Discus Bio Gold. A very good food.

currently i have stopped using the flakes and i'm now feeding them bloodworms once a day and on the other days i give them some mussels and they always eat the veg i put in there for my gold nugget! i'm going to try feeding them two times a day next week, they are in a big tank (400) for their size so im hoping i will be able to stick to the 1x weekly change i do and not do any more changes. yes, i don't get black worms in london so it will have to be the frozen bloodworms and live daphnia when i can get it.
