would it be a good idea to provide a meat based staple diet for a jag, instead of pellets.Like beef heart and plankton, and canned shrimp. My jag seems to barly like pellets, but goes crazy for meaty products.

you could feed him meaty products but not the same one's day in day out, as long as there not to fatty or you could continue to feed pellets, he'll learn to like them eventually.

protine for five days and veggie two days.

you can feed it beef but not as a staple shrimp is better but i would still try to keep pellets in its diet plus a little veggies won't hurt

i give my fish pellets for breakfast, and meat for dinner. needless to say they enjoy dinner more. i usually feed a variety of market shrimp, beef heart, clams, mussles, blood worms, turkey franks, mysis shrimp, etc

thanks guys, im a littleconfused about the veggie part, cause arent parachromis carnivores?
