I have two juvenile cichlas that will only seem to eat mysis shrimp. Ive tried the floating cichlid pellets ( which sink after a minute or two, I have flakes, but the only thing they seem to enjoy is the shrimp. which is nice because they are gettin huge ( 65.4% crude protein ) but i would like to diversify the diet. I am going to try some live tomorrow, my question is...what can i do to introduce them to alternatives and if they like the live fish, is shrimp and feeds a balanced enough diet for them?

if you go live, i would suggest growing your own. get something like convicts or HRPs and breed em. theyre like rabbits. gut load the fry/juvies with whatever you want and feed em to your cichlas.

as mentioned above....try raw market shrimp or tilapia. If that doesnt work try silversides.

Stay away from live.
