I was just wondering how to tell the difference between a payara fish and an armatus fish. Are they both the same fish? I have done a bit of research and found that the armatus is supposed to get much bigger than the payara but is that the only difference? I just don't want to buy a armatus and find out it is a payara...

Amatus are also the largest of the Payara species. Theres a decent sticky about Payara care and ID, probably could use a good edit though lol
