Differences between Motaguense and Friedrichsthalii

Hi

Can anyone tell me the exact, precise, clear and deciding differences between P. Motaguense and P. Friedrichsthalii???? They seem so much alike to my untrained/unexperienced eye. Is it just the colour??? Motas orange/red, Freddies bronze /yellow????????

Here i have 2 pictures. The first RTM, the second a Freddy. Other than the black splodge on the gill plate, they seem very similar to me????

Is this prominant black splodge on the lower cheek/gill of the freddy a clear difference???

Freddys are usually BRIGHT yellow.

Top is defo a male RTM, heres a shot of him with the female.

Bottom is defo a Freddy as he's been identified by plenty of members on here.
But i can defo see where your coming from tho.

Yeah looking at the bottom one it does look kinda like a freddy... Usually they are more distinguishable. Thats the first time I've had so much difficulty telling them apart....

im still trying to figure this out too.
