Iam chipping in on a group order from jeff rapps and i noticed he has some new wild green terrors, 3 different colours. i know two of them but i dont no th last.
so does anyone have have a picture of a green terror red saum?
another question is what size can carpintes Escondido be sexed? rapps has 2-2.5" now:headbang2

I would like to see some pics of the 'red saum'

i just saw the red/gold and silvers for sale, and am trying to order a red ASAP. cant wait to see what it looks like

I'd like to see a "red" variant too, but I'm guessing that the Red/Orange Saum is the same fish

I'd tend to agree. Just with a darker strip along the dorsal/anal fins.

just ordered a large male. he said that if it were a fish hormoned from asia then it wouldnt surprise him that much but the fact that it is wild caught and very bright red is very rare. i think the silver/gold/red are all the same fish just different color varients. either way it will be interesting to see how much different this one is then the everyday gold ones we see. its getting the 125g with just 3 silver dollars, two plecos and a clown loach. maybe I will have to learn how to post pics

just call or drop jeff an email and he will let you know if those fish are sexed at 2.5 inches

Yeah, iam proberly just go or the gold saums, there my favourite.
while i was searching for pics i found this thread which says there blue saums, i couldnt see the pics tho-http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7482
a blue saum would be cool:)
i never get a response from rapps on email........
thanks dave

I looked at the link and IMO the red is an ordinary gold saum. Some have better colours then others.I have seen many batches including my own breedings with varying colours from bright red ,orange and even white edges to their fins.My guy was white edged originally and now older he is bright red edged with the real blue sides.
