DIFFERENT DIET

since i got my ck he was used to eating feeders and wont eat anything else..i want to diversify his diet how wuld i do so..would starving him work? i feed his tankmates worms and they love em but d ck just hangs around one corner and doesnt even lokk like he cares...tips pls....

Have you tried not feeding him for awhile and then trying plankton or something like that?

I got a 16" CK that was on feeders only and I starved him for a few days and he took a night crawler. After that he got used to "other" foods and eats pretty much anything I put in the tank. shrimp and beefheart are his favs.

Yeah hold out! you will be happy you did in the long run. My Royal knife takes to shrimp worms, and blood worms really well and i've had him for only a week.

tnx guys.. ive been starving him for a while then i tried feeding him a worm dropped it in front of him even hittng him in the face but he never reacted, maybe he wasnt that hungry yet i'll starve him some more.i'll keep u guys posted on what happens...

YAHOOO!!!! finally got my CK to eat super worms .....damn that was along time coming next step is to get them all eating pellets......

Good Job! I know it can be hard to watch your fish not eat. My pike was like that. Everyone around him was eating and he was getting skinny. I guess he said If i dont eat this I'll die so he ate pellets and krill 2 days in a row...Still cant get him to touch the flakes though
