I have two of these that are short finned with pale abdomen (which I assume are Peruvian?), and I recently acquired a 3rd Individual with very high fins, a brown abdomen and bright orange spots. Where does the hi-fin individual come from?
Here are pics of each.

The first pic is a Purple Wolfish. Not absolutely sure the 2nd pic may be a Red Wolfish they normally have the high fin.

Top is sp purple and bottom is a red. Peru is a catch location for both.

Thanks - I figured this is the case. I’m quite happy I found them as they are scarce in California. No one ever stocked them at all until this year due to fear of Fish and Game misidentifying them as malabaricus and fining the shop.

Both are mean as hell toward their own. Hope you have a nice size tank. If you want a group, look into gold wolves.
