The Datnoid I got in Indiana was a lot of work. It's a Micro, and they had it in a brackish tank. We had to drip it back to fresh. Then I had to keep Rallys cat from sticking his paws in my cooler. I had to set up life support in the car, consisting of a double line air pump, and a heater plugged into a power inverter. It was a 9 hour trip and I was nervous. Then when I made it back, had to drip again from one of my tanks. I finally moved him into his own tank last night, it's doing well and eating krill. Pics forthcoming tonight, if my f-ing computer works.

SWEET!!
I'm glad he made it:) It's awesome that he's eating krill too.

That fish had some stress from the salt I think. Its bars almost looked gone, but it started to color up nicely during the drip.

Congrats on the new dat! That earns you some extra points and likely makes up for the fact that you own a Pontiac Grand Am, a FWD rental fleet car w/ excessive plastic body cladding. ;)

Congrats! Even without the brackish issue, dats will fluctuate color-wise. I've had a few of mine for years and sometimes I wake up looking at totally different looking fish.

Nice work. I almost can't make it when I'm driving to MN.

I guess i missed the thread about it.. but what happened and how did a microlepis end up in brackish water ?
