Umm a Serrasalmus Rhombeus is a Serrasalmus Rhombeus. There are no other species within the species. However, dealers use fancy names like diamond, highback, ect to charge more less for the fish.

In your title you said different species of Black piranha. The term black piranha refers to a number of different species. S. Rhom, S. Sanchezi, S. Compressus, are all commonly called black piranhas.

yeah Serrasalmus Rhombeus is the only speices, the different varients you mentioned, come from different places, and have some sutle differences, such as a higher back, or diamondey like scales, the vendors charge more for these special varientes then say a normal peru rhom. in general, most rhoms stay at around the same size, but in general from the ones i have seen, diamonds are smaller, ussally at 13-14" max, while peru's get to 17-18", in gereral they have the same temperment, though as with all fish, this varies from fish to fish.
