Diffusion Of C02

Hi
I recently set up a DIY CO2 system. I use a internal filter to diffuse it. I seem to have a lot of small tiny bubbles which are going to waste. Is there any way I can reduce the number of wasted bubbles?

What is the kh of your water as this can stopp the co2 being properly diffused into the water.
