I have 2 channel catfish, 1 asian red tail, marble goby, lima shovelnose, irwini cat, sun cat, african pike, and a bluegill in this grow out tank. Everyone except the channels are around 3-4inchs, the channels maybe reaching 5 inchs to 6. I would originally just feed the fish tank brine shrimp till everyone was full. But since the channels love to pig out a lot and started getting more aggressive, I have been feeding shrimp pellets first for the past 3-4 weeks, in order to give the channels a growth spurt to be removed and to give the other fish time to eat the brine shrimp. I feed my fishies every other day, once a day.
And on the 4th day of feeding them of the first week, my smaller channel started developing this weird peach colored thing sprouting from the anal vent of the fish. Not seeing much change of behavior, I did nothing and hoped it would recover. Now after 3-4 weeks of which is today when I looked over them, the big channel has started to develop the same thing and the smaller channel anal vent is still the same. I believe the cause is the pellets, otherwise I have no other hints as to what is causing it, none of my other fishes have it. The goby, asian red tail, irwini cat and sometimes the pike do eat the pellets as well from time to time and they don't have this problem.
Should I try pushing it back in and feeding them peas for a couple of days? What is your opinion, I will gladly accept any thoughts on the situation. Thank you for your time.20171116_163850[1].jpg 20171116_163956[1].jpg 20171116_164152[1].jpg 20171116_164158[1].jpg
