So i have a small problem...
I have a 12" rope in my 29gal tank now and dont want to get rid of him but i would also like an easy breeding pair of fish. But if i get a breeding pair that is not aggressive he will eat the eggs, probably, but if i get aggressive fish they will beat him up all the time...
I need some advice. Im a college student and have no space for another tank.
What should i do?
Any ideas about fish that would go well with him?
I would like egg laying fish and nothing like guppies b/c they will be eaten very quickly lol.
Thanks

bump?

A second tank?

its in the 1st post...

do a pair of covicts there are black, pink, marble they will keep him away from the eggs that is the only idea i have good luck in ur decision

option A) get a second tank
option b) get rid of the ropefish
option C) wait till you 're out of college a 29 gallon tank isn't that big

i you get rid of the rope, there are numerous possibilites of fish that can breed in a tank that size, even some more unusual liverbearers, perhaps halfbeaks
