I have a 14 - 15" Black Ghost Knifefish in one aquarium and 5 Bleeding Heart Tetras, ranging in size from 1" to 2.5" (SL), in another. I'm considering consolidating the two aquariums and seeking the opinion of others who may have experience at kept these species together. Specifically, I am wondering if the Ghost Knife will try to turn the Bleeding Hearts into dinner. To this point in time the only live food that the Knife has been fed are a couple of White Cloud Mountain Minnows and numerous Earthworms.

Looking forward to hearing from you !!

He will eat anything that will fit in his mouth, so not a good idea.

I've found (having personally kept a BGK) that most individuals will ignore anything that isn't bite sized. Bleeding heart tetras are actually pretty big (especially for a tetra) so I think it would probably be ok... Depends on the individual fish.
Post a picture of that BGK!

I agree, Bleeding Hearts are pretty big. I don't think it will be an issue.

Not sure I would Take the risk, my 6 inch bgk already munches down glowlite tetras when the lights go off
