I have no idea what that is, all I can suggest is dab the wound with hydrogen peroxide and methylene blue ( also dose water with blue and add any antibiotics/ fungal med to prevent infection)My birchil has a lump since last week on side now its bleeding

I don't see anything coming from it. I did have a gravel substrate then noticed the lump so I isolated him in a separate tank amd switch over to sand. I put him back in on Sunday and then today he was bleeding so I took him back out to isolate him again. I had it 2 years now and worried it's going to passIs there stuff coming out if it? Is having any buoyancy problems? Not sure from the pics. Doesn’t look infected but eventually it will be. I’d stop feeding for now. Keep your water parameters pristine and add some pure epsom salt 1 tbsp per g for now.
I gotta say it doesn’t look good, expect the worse, hope for the best, no sand substrate as it may settle inside the Wound, actually bare bottom might be the best optionI don't see anything coming from it. Ain't gonna lie bro I think it might've swallowed a gravel, bichirs are really clumsy when feeding and I observed they sometimes dont know how to aim. I read a few advice saying you shouldnt put bichirs in gravels because it can cause indigestion. Or this could be something else.I did have a gravel substrate then noticed the lump so I isolated him in a separate tank amd switch over to sand.
Yes I agree.might've swallowed a gravel
