Has anyone ever successfully kept these two together? Just wondering if they would get along. The frog is huge, almost palm sized, the eel is 6-7 inches long and as fat a my thumb.
Thanks in advance.

By Dinosaur Eel I am assuming you mean Polypterus senegal, as that's what Petsmart and other chain-stores sell them as. You may want to get into the habit of calling it a senegal or a bichir, as referring to it as an eel is going to confuse a lot of people. It's not an eel whatsoever.

I don't think your frog will get much bigger, whereas the Bichir will continue to grow for awhile yet, albeit slowly.

The way I have seen those african frogs rest on the bottom... I wouldn't trust one with my bichirs. If they could catch it, they would eat it.

I'd say no to the combination but maybe someone here has actually tried it and has better advice. Both of them are fairly slow bottom-dwellers so you may be able to make it work.

I have feed my huge bichirs african clawed frogs my bichers are all over 22 inches they are lower jaw species and I read that frogs are in a bichirs diet but a Senagalus might be to small to eat one but it want stop him from trying.

the senegal will still get a bit bigger, and i think he will def try to eat the frog, my sens have eaten rosies (that were quarantined of course) that were 2in when they were only 4in so i wouldnt put it past them to attack the frog especially if it were resting on the bottom at night

there is no way a senegal would eat a palm sized frog, though it may try. i've got a 10" senegal and there's no way it could eat anything wider than 1" in diameter

Don't do it. I thought it'd be ok to but my sens "deathrolled" a clawed frogs back foot off one night. It wasn't pretty. The frog was 4 inches nose to rump.

I gotta agree with Madding, Moonchild and Cecropia. If the sen is too small, the frog probably will eat him. Once the sen is big enough, it'll probably try frog legs via deathroll, amphibians are part of their normal diet. I would give it a 10% chance of working, and I suspect that's way too generous.
