Trying to get my filtration set up on my 300 rubbermaid tank figured out in the next day or two. I have made a waterfall box out of a plastic tote with a aluminum spillway that I was planning on filling with scrubbies and having it spill back into the stock tank. The problems I see with this is that having a line run 3 1/2' up to the box will mean much less GPH from my Laguna 900 pump. Another concern is having to winterize it and worry about things freezing where as if I just made a filter box and stuck the pump in and just had it shoot back into the tank directly I wouldn't have to worry about it. Suggestions?
