I purchased a Pre-owned 90 gallon corner overflow tank. I'm a straight-shooting Fluval FX5 guy. I've never had a sump system. I've never had an overflow system before and I'm totally lost. I'm assuming that I will need a sump and a stand that will allow for plumbing beneath the tank, since there are connections on the bottom of the tank. Can someone please point me in the direction of where I need to go to get the proper information on setting up such a system? I'm sure there is information on the site. Also, feel free to give me your advice. I humbly appreciate your assistance. I hate walking into a LFS and asking for advice, without some prior knowledge. It's comparable to walking on a used car lot with zero knowledge of cars. We have a few shady LFS's. Thanks and ALL comments are welcomed . . . The more, e better.

U will need a 25 gallon sump, return pump strong enough to keep up with the overflow, bioballs, and just someone to help u properly set ur whole filtration system up...I would also run a canister filter to even with a sump...

Make the sump the biggest size that fill fit under your stand comfortably, more water the better.
You can buy a sump kit, but they run $200+. Your LFS should have one or two on display, can check one out there for a basic idea.
There are also hundreds of DIY sump threads here, best bet would be to browse through them and figure out what style might work best for you and then fine tune it for your specific application.

Here is a good thread about pumps:

Thanks for the replies. I'll consider all, including the use of my fx5 and plugging up the tank. What's the best way to plug a corner-overflow tank and avoid leakage?
