I have a breeder whom I occasionally pick up from. Usually in a situation where they are for someone else and I'm just the middle man. I had a buyer cancel an order, so I got stuck with his fish and saw substantial losses. I wondering if the fish were tampered with, as I'm a competitor. I thought we had a understanding but now I'm starting to wonder as this is the second time it has happening. Fish look great but start dropping.

What's the dirtiest trick you have ever heard of?
 
Of course, I agree. Maybe Im being paranoid in this situation but by seeing these fish, its got me wondering.

not being paranoid If you always deliver quality, healthy stock. I had a conversation with a sub-par LFS store who bought a bunch of yearling ball pythons from my partner and I and waited several months until I called them to claim "they had mites". yet why did they wait until I called THEM to tell me?

Well, my partner and I offered for them to not only drive to our shops and check each individual snake for mites(every snake in both of our collections) to prove we didn't have them but ALSO to pay for their GAS to get there. Guess who DIDN'T take the offer? I told them they probably came from a customer that had them and didn't wash/disinfect his hands between handling his own snakes and coming to browse/handle their snakes. The fact they used coconut husk bedding which is the same color as mites didn't give me any relief having faith they were "good at their jobs". Some people just suck at everything and should try a new hobby like raising WORMS.
