Does anyone else notice that after a water change and vaccuume that it seems to make their fish poo extra?
I try to clean every spot but the next morning there's poo everywhere again!

How many gallons is your filter rated? Might want to add a power head and aim it at the spots that collect poo.

If I remember it was rated for 100-125 gal..
I have a sand bottom so I don't want to put the powerhead on the bottom. I guess I should add the power head to the glass opposite the intake and try to get better flow?

I'm also starting to realize what people say when they call plecos poop machines..

I have a sand bottom also and I know exactly what your talking about. Doing a water change and adding the fresh water rejuvinates your fish and stimulates growth(which in turn makes them go poop). So I'm thinking that and what theyangman said causes them to go poo after a water change. Oh and yeah with sand it seems as if plecos poop all day long because its allways visible. Lol

All this talk of scared fish and rejuvenation is a bunch of malarkey. It is done out of pure spite.

Ok... I have sand in my grow out tank. They eat and poop constantly. I was only trying sand so I could get to the waste easier. In order for growth there must be water change... Also rejuvenating, refreshing, or whatever you want to call it. They poop whenever they are ready but you cant deny fresher waters wouldn't encourage that.
