i recently bought my first tank, a 20L, i know...its small, but it fits my room perfect...for now...

the question i had was why, after 5 hours of rinsing my sand base, filling my tank, and one week of cycling, is my water still murky? btw, i currently have a marineland penguin 150, and was gonna pick up a HOT Magnum...

regardless, this is my first tank and am more than open to any input...

did you get a test kit? and if you did, what are your perameters?
Do you have any fish in there yet?

i dont have a test kit...didnt know i needed one...but i do have 5 corys and 2 rainbow sharks, they were cheap enough to say "oh well" if they die.

put them in on wed.

zennzzo-Why don't you just explain to Mr. B what you think he should do? Instead of coming off as an arrogant person, why not help the new guy, instead of putting him down an maybe chasing away from the hobby for good.

I thought this site was for sharing and helping others, not for putting someone down cause he doesn't know much cause they are just starting off.

do it because you love it and do it better than he who has done before...And for all those out there always remember that those who are just starting out who pm you or ask questions on the forums or in the threads...even though the questions have been asked a million times and there are threads dedicated to what they ask..always help them or guide them to the information instead of flaming them for what they ask....everyone starts somewhere and in the world of fish forums foul words can easily discourage the new keeper and push them away..a little time and words can go a long way no matter how elementary it may seem to you,it may be the 1st stepping stone to the next cichla fanatic ;)
