last night i saw that my single pond snail had laid eggs some time ago because they had hatched. there were several white snail babies, and 2x as many with shells, and today all of them are gone! even the adult snail! any possibilities to their whereabouts? i haven't done a complete search of my tank yet (i haven't checked under the gravel for babies nor in the most secluded parts of my ornaments) or is it possible my mbuna cichlids ate them? however, they adult snail was W-A-Y too big to fit in their mouths, so any guesses?

i found them! yes! i just did my weekly water change and found that as i was vacuming the gravel 20+ snail popped up! then when i was putting all my decor back in the tank after i finished vacuming the gravel, i found that the adult snail had been in the cave the entire time. so i quickly put it into my tank, and although it had been out of the water for a while, it seems fine now. it isn't moving very much, but it is moving so it seems to me that it is recovering very nicely. i didn't know that baby snails hid under the gravel, but i'm glad that i was able to find them. =]
