well I got a scare today I walked by my tank and couldn't find my albino sengalus, Harley, I searched the floor behind the tank and didn't see him. I picked up all of the decorations repeatedly, no Harley, well the 3rd time I picked up the large decoration on the left he shot out of the bottom from where he had been hiding inside the decoration.

This isn't the 1st time I've had a fish hide inside this type of decoration. The last time it war a tire track eel and 2 rope fish. But this is just so out of character for Harley he never hides. Then 5 minutes after we find him I catch him burrowing under he center decoration. But 2 hours later he was back to his normal self begging for food. I don't think I've ever been mad at a fish till today but that scare actually truly made me mad lol I just had to vent. Has anyone else ever gotten mad at your fish?

Tricky senegal. Only downside with those hollow wood decorations is that the senegal might get stuck deep in there, and not make it up in time to breathe. I had small clown loaches in the past where there'd be 6-8 hiding inside deep and would not come out.

I got mad when mine tried to hide in my Jaguar cichlid's mouth.......

The Poly has since been rescued - I scared the Jag into spitting him out - and my neighbor has him in his community tank

Didnt know jad will do that to a poly, ive seen jag nip and beat up a poly but not swallow them.
oh yea, man....Jags are voracious pescivores, might as well be called Mini-Largemouth Bass. They fight, jump out of the tank, dig, EXPLODE at the surface to eat insects, and swallow WAY more food/bigger prey items than they need to sustain. Piggies in my book
