Disaster in waiting?

Umm WoW he is huge i would let him hang with the big boys

What is wrong with that silver? It looks somewhat squashed...and if he didn't eat it right away, it's likely safe...

the silver is just fat. the jardini has been in there for 3, 4 hrs without torn fin, but the silver kinda follows him around.

I bet you the silver eats the jar, I would give the jar at least a month or two in another tank to bulk up a bit

i'm feeding him daily with prawn, squid and smelts(probably willl stop on smelts). he basically eats evertyhing and i have to throw a bunch of food in just so that it can get to the bottom for my rays. is daily feeding too often?

Probably safe, jar's already pretty big. You should cut down on your feedings for your silver, over feeding doesnt do a fish good.

I use a plastic tube (like a Python cleaner) to get the food to the bottom without it being eaten.

It's not too often, but i would cut down on the amounts you feed. Also a good idea to start fasting your aro once a week, it'll help bring it down to a more natural look, and will allow your aro to cleanse its system on the fasting day.

thats all good advice to slim down a big silver, but terrible advice if you want the jar to live-
if you must to keep them together, Id keep feeding the silver the way you have been, until the jardini is big enough to get beat up and not swallowed- and he still will probably get eaten
